What is the best tanning lotion?

I like Hawaiian Tropic Golden Tanning Dry oil, spf 4 or 6. It's not greasy and it gets you a good tan.

Reply:Don't get the cheap kind! It will turn you orange looking and it takes a while to disappear. Sometimes it only turns your hands orange but not all the time.

Remember that the sun is the largest nuclear reactor in the universe, a sun burn or tan is actually exposure to "RADIATION", NEVER A GOOD THING !!!! BE CAREFUL, the sun is much stronger now than years ago due to Ozone depletion in the atmosphere.

Reply:Depends on if your doing outdoor tanning or indoor tanning. Either way you still need to be careful when selecting products. California Tan products seem to be really good. The active ingredient in a majority of tanning lotions is L-Tyrosine. This stimulates your skin into producing melanin which is then oxidized by exposure to uv rays. Just be careful to follow the directions and limit your exposure. If you burn your skin your doing damage that can result in a negative effect. =)
Reply:It all depends on what your skin type is and how much of a tan you want. Everyone needs some level of protection from the sun, mainly because of skin cancer. But, there are other reasons to limit your skins' exposure, like pre-mature wrinkles and dry skin, among others. So, if you're light skinned, you'll need a fairly high SPF so that you don't burn. I am not only light skinned, but I have red hair in the family genes, which makes me burn more than the average light skinned person. So I put on an SPF of 40. I still get some sun, but I don't burn. There are many products out there that work very well, but some are more expensive than others. Price doesn't always mean better. It's the SPF that counts. Most of the others rely on additives to attract users, like fragrance, special oils and such that just drive the price up. I use the Avon line of suntan lotions. They give me what I need and they are affordable. So, it's up to what your needs are and your budget. %26lt;*)))%26gt;%26lt;
