I am painting my tanning salon what colors go with an ocean blue?

I am opening a salon with a very large lobby, we have many walls to paint and I started with an ocean blue but I don't want it to be to much blue what other colors whould look good on some of the other walls? The doors are white.

well u dont want a orange tint seeing that thats the color ur peeps will be when they r done. so i'd go for white and aqua blue. go for a cottage by the beach feel. my rooms like this. hint lots of beachy accesories in party city and target

Reply:Browns and sands look very nice with blue, and on the colour wheel, orange is the opposite complementary colour.

A darker brown might be pretty, a cool one like mocha or taupe, or a warm one like chocolate. Depends on the blue.





A warm creamy yellow would be sunny.





You could paint around the salon from floor to chair rail in blue, and then paint a barely blue shade of white above, and the blue from the bottom, in pinstripes over the white. Chair rail could be actual wood molding, or it could be wallpaper border, or a stencilled paint treatment to hide the line. This would be crisp and clean, kind of country modern.
Reply:think bermuda or other dutch caribbean islands...blue as the main color with white doors, trim, etc. but then throw in some hot pink, orange, and yellow, in a tasteful way of course.
Reply:Try golds, earth tones and sea greens, even a soft yellow works. You can also go to your local hardware store and ask for their paint department and they have switches you can coordinate your colors with.
