How safe are sunless tanning booths?

Just curious what is contained in the "mist" that gets applied to your skin. If you've done it before how was the quality and how long did it last?

How safe are sunless tanning booths?
DHA is in the booths....go to yahoo and type in mystic tan and go to their website it will tell you everything. Usually lasts a few days to a week....make sure you exfoliate beforehand.
Reply:They're not very safe at all . . it's how much of a chance you want to take. However, they last for awhile, longer than getting misted.
Reply:Well, I have only done the spray one time and I was under the impression that it was a lot safer than your normal indoor tanning bed (the type with bulbs). I was just slightly pleased with the spray. It did not seem to last long and not completely even everywhere. I hope we are talking about the same thing. I went to a hair salon that offered spray on tanning. You could opt to go in the buff, a bathing suit, or underwear to be sprayed. I opted to wear only thongs since I wanted my breasts to be tan; but did not want to show all of the family jewels if you know what I mean. I knew the lady who applied mine and I was comfortable. She then told me how to pose and such and sprayed me with this airbrush like thing. It was a different experience. I don't know what was in the 'mist' but I would imagine it was some type of self tanner. Like I said though, it did not last long and I did not go back. I may have to try it again and keep going for the whole summer. I hope this was what you are talking about. If not, well at least you may of learned something new. Hope it helps. Good luck! :)
Reply:no safer then bein in the sun.
