No way. If anything it'll give you more discolouration from the rays

Will getting in the tanning bed help get rid of some discoloration on my face left from acne??
yes it might but, be careful make sure you put a good all over tannig lotion or it may get more blotchey.when I go tanning It makes my skin look good on my face if i where you i would first try this product jergens natural glow it work great without sun damage they sell it for face and body I use it and love it.http://www.jergens.com/products/index.as... good luck.
Reply:maybe but in the long run tanning bed will give you cancer. please be careful. i'd rather have acne scars then cancer at 60.
Reply:Try Stri Vectin. It is for removing scars and has helped with lessining the dark spots and broken vessels on my face. It is expensive (cheaper if you buy a GNC gold card) You will only need two tubes a year and it is worth the $$. It worked for me!
Reply:Apparently the tanning bed will dry out the acne that you have right now, but it has been proven to cause more acne! Don't do it! You're better off using a three-step skin care treatment made for your skin type.

Step 1 - Cleanse

Step 2 - Toner

Step 3 - Moisturize

Choose products that you can use twice a day. A lot of different brands have these three-step products such as Loreal's Pure Zone.
Reply:No. Sun tanning is only going to do further damage. You will want to use something with hydroquinone on a regular basis and wear sunscreen everyday. The discoloration can be faded, and you will have to use sunscreen.

I like "pigment of your imagination" by Philosophy, it contains hydroquinone for fading. They make a version of it with SPF18, so I buy that one.

Here's where you can buy it:

Most Nordstroms carry Philosophy. Not sure what other department stores have it, but my mall has a Nordstrom and it's close to my house so I get mine there.

Best of luck to you on this. Take care.
