Why do some people look orange when they tan in tanning beds? (It happens to me, lol)?

I'm trying to get a some natural sun every week and see how I do.

Why do some people look orange when they tan in tanning beds? (It happens to me, lol)?
it all has to do with the natural pigment in your skin.

mines sort of a natural tan, so i sometimes get orange in tanning beds as well.
Reply:Usually the orange comes from the tanning oil or lotion that they sell at the tanning salon to "enhance" the tan. They have self tanners in them and on some people it looks orange.
Reply:Its probably because of too much exposure or just the bad coloring
Reply:everyone has different pigment in their skin. my friend looks like she a dirty face when she tans in the beds. lol
Reply:The bronzer (DHA) in the tanning lotion. Make sure to use a lotion without bronzer in it, like Swedish Beauty Chocolate Silk or CT Seven.
Reply:It must be the tanning lotion you use, or else your skin tone. I have never turned out orange, nor have any of my friends. Or perhaps it has something to do with the artificial rays. Every time I've tanned outdoors in San Diego, I've gotten a really nice rich brown tan. When I'm home (Central California), I get a more golden tan. In the tanning bed, I get a deep sort of tan, more brown than golden. Outdoor tanning obviously has something to do with relation to the equator, but as for indoors, it is simply based on your skin tone.
Reply:turning orange is a sign you could be getting cancer. get out of the bed and into the doctor.
